C’è un bombarolo che minaccia di mettere la città a ferro e fuoco. Il primo colpo lo tenta con l’ascensore di un grattacielo, ma prontamente interviene Jack Traven, abilissimo agente di polizia, a scongiurare la strage. Poi è la volta di un autobus, imbottito di esplosivo e con un detonatore che scoppierà se il mezzo scende sotto le ottanta miglia all’ora. Ma arriva ancora Traven a risolvere la situazione, anche grazie all’aiuto della graziosa autista…
