Durante il Capodanno del 1900 a Parigi, una coppia di amanti viene orribilmente uccisa e mutilata da un misterioso omicida con un braccio di ferro. Al massacro sopravvive una bambina di dieci anni, che diventa così l’unica testimone. Passano tredici anni e, a Roma, un giovane di nome Luca muore misteriosamente nel Museo delle Cere dove vengono riprodotti alcuni dei fatti più sconvolgenti della mitologia e della storia…
