I suoi superiori lo affiancano al sergente Roger Murtaugh, un tranquillo poliziotto di colore in età pensionabile, restìo all’uso delle armi e dedito alla famiglia. A poco a poco tra i due si instaura un franco cameratismo mentre indagano su una banda di trafficanti di droga…
