Al centro del loro obiettivo vi è soprattutto Carmine Polito (Jeremy Renner), esponente politico locale. Rosalyn (Jennifer Lawrence), l’imprevedibile moglie di Irving, potrebbe essere però colei che più di ogni altro ha in mano le fila del gioco…
